Give your site and product the exposure

Someone complained that it does not work when you sign up a free website with known sites like Geocities etc. Well, I just want to say, why them? There are many other companies that can give you some free space to build your own site. Try Bravenet, All4Webs, or Freeweb Site Builder even Weebly.

That will bring me to another topic of interest - leads. Leads generation is rather important. Remember how your mailbox is stuffed by those junk mails? Well, you are a lead (someone else's). I used to find out the email address of the person who sent me junks and sent him/her my junks too. Somebody told me it worked.

Just make sure the links you put on your sales copy is one that brings them to your site. That is your ultimate goal, right? If you only want traffic, sign up with people who offer you leads. If you want sales, then you need to do more.

Recently I signed up to receive leads from someone. True to say, I have been receiving about 100 leads or so from this person since last month. However, I doubted some of them as the email address looked rather strange. Since I haven't received any 'back to sender' mails, I guess the address are genuine.

No matter what you do, just do it. Get all the exposures your site needs. I think almost all sites are listed in any search engine. It is just the ranking. If everyone wants his site to turn up in the first 10 pages, then the keywords must be very expensive indeed!

Offline marketing is important too. If you are also selling your product locally, then you can advertise in any local or national newspaper, magazine or periodical. If you don't have much to spend for this type of advertising, free classified ads in the internet, local or global can be a great help. Remember to include an email and a phone number. People like it if they can see your phone number .... they know you are real.

Don't promise anything you didn't mention in your ads or website. Doing so will only make you lose some of your prospects! Be honest. You may want a seller to be honest to you when you are a buyer too.
