I am the kind of person that loves giving gifts. One Christmas we had some extra money and I was so happy that I was giving my mom a DVD player. I thought I was gonna have the best present. Well, unfortunately, that's the year my dad died, and my mom gave me and my sister $5000 checks that year. Now, a DVD player is still a decent present, but it just can't compare with a check like that.
