It seems like everyone is looking to make some easy money on the Internet lately, and finding legit work at home jobs is difficult. Everybody wants to work from home. I've explored many, many work at home opportunities, some that turned out to be scams and others that were surprisingly legit. One of my most recent ones was getting paid to post on forums. How great would that be, right?

I signed up for a site that I stumbled upon from somewhere else (don't recall now) that claimed to pay you to post on forums. So I asked to join, which required a short questionnaire about my forum experience and a sample post. Hurray! I got accepted. And the posting began.

Basically, how it works is forum owners hire this company to post on their forums to make it appear busy. Nobody wants to visit a dead forum. And us, the posters, get a small portion of that money. It isn't much at all. For 100 posts that need to be spread out over a three week period, the pay is only $10. Definitely not going to get rich quick.

The difficult part is trying to come up with things to say - at least for me. I've always been more of a lurker than a poster, and I've never felt comfortable fibbing about things, even if it's online. At the same time, though, it's pretty fun, especially if you sign up to post on a forum you're actually interested in.
