Gasoline Prices Dropping

July ended with some welcome news: Gasoline prices have been dropping for a week! we were very worried about what was happening to our country. Every facet of our lives is involved with energy, from the car and trucks that we need to get to work to the electricity that powers our laptops is supplied by fuels the price of which are all liked to the price of a barrel of oil on the "Futures Markets."

Gigantic investment and "Hedge Funds" had purchased and sold those contracts as they profited all the way way up to the record high price of $147.22 on July 11th.
When they saw Americans driving less and gasoline in storage rising the big funds all bailed-out of the contracts in the same week causing prices to head steadily lower. Hopefully that will develop into a long-term trend!
