Fun Website

As a person who spends nearly 8 hours a day on the internet I am always intrigued by new and exciting websites. I logged into my Myspace account yesterday and had received an email from a search engine called Trumalia. Though generally wary of unsolicited Myspace messages I looked on the profile and decided to check it out.

Trumalia seems to be a search engine like any other but this is not why I checked it out being that I generally stick to Google and Ask for my searches. Basically, I liked the idea of the treasure hunt. I read through the rules three times and then I started to try to figure it out. It's a very complicated system as far as I can tell. Essentially, you need to solve a series of riddles and if you do so, you will eventually reach a work of art with a piece of hidden code. Piece the code together, decipher it and it will give you the answer to one of 4 enigmas.

Now don't get me wrong. I think the game is extremely complicated and I don't think that I will be able to solve any enigmas, being that I am only a novice riddle solver. I do however, intend to try to do so if only to keep myself entertained and maybe learn something along the way. I was encouraged actually by the fact that a kid from Texas A&M has already solved one of them. There is an article on the site about it and I guess at least it proves that it's not impossible.

If anyone else wants to try it, I will link you guys here:

I have yet to try the search features but I will do so this week and let everyone know how Trumalia stacks up against the big boys. I think it's definitely worth a look for the creative among us.
