I've just been to Adelaide for one of my regular visits to parents. My mother is nearly 92, and Dad has just celebrated 88 years, and I live 2+ hours flying time from them, so I take every opportunity to go visit them. One never knows when it will be the last time I see them.
My sister lives not far away from them, and I stay with her. Mostly she is working when I visit but this time we had three wonderful days together.
On the Saturday we visited the famous Adelaide Markets which have been in operation for years and years - and pretty much unchanged in all tht time. Stalls change - but there are some stall holders that would have been there for every - generations take over from the previous one etc.
It is always busy on a Saturday as people flock to buy their very fresh fruit and vegetables, breads, cheeses, and a wide array of gourmet foods which are on sale at the markets. I always overspend - and seldom get to bring food back to Brisbane with me. (I try and eat it all before I return - not easy though.)
As I have an interest in flowers I always love looking at the flower stalls too - as there are different flowers to what is available in Queensland.
Hope you enjoy the photo of one of the stalls a the market.
