As the title may or may not have suggested this is a first for me. Blogging that is. Ive been interested in writing for many years now, but mostly on a private level and find that reading my own thoughts or stories gets quite dull. Then i found this place and figured why not? I dont do that much with my life anyways.
A little about me, and i mean a little, before i start posting multiple blogs with me ranting and raving about different things going on in my life and in the world as i see them.
Im 24 years old, white, single, a loner, and in my own opinion, either one of the greatest people on this planet or one of the lowest. I have no ambitions i wish to speak of as of yet, but am a simple high school graduate who has for the last six years been working at a gas station.
I hate the work, the people, and quite down to the point i believe i hate the majority of people. Most would say i should do something about this, it IS my life after all. And to them i simply say blah.
So thats the little about me i wish to share at the moment. I have just signed up for adsense, which i have never heard of until i read about it here 25 minutes ago and found it is required. Now that i have submitted my form, i realize i cant get paid yet hehehe. And no, im not really here for the money, more a past time and something to do, but the little bit of money i may get might be nice. Rather, it WOULD be nice.
But even though it shall take a small amount of time for that submission to go through and hopefully be accepted (i honestly dont see why it wouldnt) i have decided i might as well start and get used to this. Also, i suppose, since this is why most are here, to have people read this.
There is only one real thing of interest i have to say today that some of you may find interesting (assuming that all above has not been interesting). Im a night owl, and therefore im up very late, and have been for years, and im sure many of you at some point or another have suffered insomnia and realize the boredom that usually accompanies being up in the dark with no living souls nearby.
I was watching CNN and they had brought in the publisher of the recent Danish newspaper that had depicted cartoons making jest at Muhammad. And for any readers down the line, you should remember the cartoons and the riots in multiple countries with the attacks and burnings on multiple embassies.
Anyhow, he was being asked if he had thought he had done anything wrong and if he had the chance to change it would he do it. This man told the reporter, sitting comfortably at her desk, that he did not think he had done anything wrong (im neutral on this point).
So she went on about how Iran wanted to have a contest depicting the jews with cartoons, etc etc, to see if the west could cope with this. The publisher then decided to tell her about a few other cartoons that they did not show in the paper, mainly ones making fun of christians and jews.
Now, as he was saying this, he lifted up a small poster with an old styled bomb we always see (the black ball with a fuse) and the Star of David on it. YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN HOW FAST THEY CHANGED THE CAMERA BACK TO HER.
You knew for a fact none of them expected that, and you could hear him describing another one he was holding up, one depicting Jesus, while you could just make out her shaking her head and waving her hand in a "no" gesture towards someone apparently in control of the views.
I just thought it amusing greatly that i actually saw that, but more surprised that this guy would do that.
Im not saying what he published was 'wrong' in any way, though most and he himself should have seen some sort of backlash.
And then with the riots and everything, he decides to show a bomb with a Star of David on it? I laughed thinking, "Is this guy insane??"
So, i suppose the point of that is that if you're a night owl you see interesting things that may open your eyes.
And this was supposed to be only 2-3 paragraphs. So, ummm, errr, keep clicking on my blogs and you'll just be shaking you're head at me and my ramblings hehehe.
