Finding Your Blog Niche

If you've ever set up a new blog, especially if you're planning to make money from it, then you need to do some market research. So where do you go? I tend to start with a search for other blogs in the same field. There are lots of places where you can look, but in addition to the blog search functions in Google and Ask, there's Technorati. That's a gold mine when it comes to tracking what's going on in the blogosphere, and it's a good place to start to determine whether you have really found a new niche or whether it's over subscribed..
