Ah ha!! So we finally get to that!! Like I mentioned in previous posts, my work at home career began with scam after scam. I didn't find the legitimate jobs for awhile. Hopefully, I can save you from some of the grief I faced as I was hunting.
The first place I want you to visit is www.wahm.com. This site includes lists of legitimate companies that hire home workers, and a message board where you can ask a million questions and get to know other wah's. Set up an account. They charge you NOTHING to access their boards or look at their lists. You'll want to visit the part of the message board entitled, "Telecommuting." Thats the term that's used for JOBS that are worked from home.
If you are interested in owning your own business, scroll down from the main message board page and you'll see tons of different companies listed that are considered legitimate. These companies will most likely charge a fee for you to work with them. If you are interested in web design, writing, coding, medical transcription, etc., you'll find these companies too. This site really has a wealth of information in it---you can easily spend all day there if so inclined.
Here are two other sites I highly recommend:
If you find something interesting on craigslist, make sure you research it and check it out with fellow wah's on wahm.com. Tomorrow, I'll fill you in on some ways you can protect yourself from the hoards of job scams on the internet today.
