Fayetteville plastic surgeon born in Little Rock

Board Certified Fayetteville plastic surgeon Dr. Vanderpool, was born in Little Rock, the son of a dermatologist. He attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville for two years. During his first year of college, he played football under Lou Holtz. He was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois.

He began his medical education at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, earning his medical degree. His six-year surgical education was also at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Next, his plastic surgical fellowship was completed at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. Additionally, he received advanced cosmetic training at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, New York City, where he was awarded the Mitch Kaplan Award for excellence in cosmetic surgery. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
