Favorite Music / What it does for me

I have been a fan of all kinds of music from rap to country, opera (sometimes), and now I am into Hardcore Christian and and Contemporary Christian. Growing up I would have never of listened to it but, now I can't get enough of it. A girlfriend that i had a long time ago got me into it. She gave me a cd called Mercy Me (Spoken For) and when I listened to it I fell in love with it and now I can't stop listening to it. Then as I got older some of my friends got me into Hardcore Christian which I really thought that I would not like it but, as before I fell in love with it and now I listen to it all the time too. some of my favorite bands are:

As I Lay Dying
Emery
Taking Back Sunday
Hawk Nelson
Falling Up
Mercy Me

Thats just a few of them if I had to name them all i would have about three pages or so. Every time I listen to my music I am so at peace that I know nothing can phase me or take me away from my music. Its like I can't be hurt no matter what my music protects me from everything else around me. Also when I am listening to my music it takes me back to when I did things wrong and it lets me know that God forgave me for what i did and now all i have to do is move on and know that he is there for me in my music and everywhere else. God lets me know when I am doing wrong because when I listen closely to my music He tells me what I need to do to make whatever it is better in my life.

I would like to hear what other people have to say about this because it would be coo to see what kind of music other people listen to and how it affects them. hope to hear from you.
