Initial reports said that most all of the new fall season network shows were faring well, but that's apparently not the case, as two new dramas got the axe this week.
According to news reports, CBS' Smith and NBC's Kidnapped will not be returning to their scheduled time slots. Smith has already been removed from CBS's website. Smith consistently under-performed in its timeslot and Kidnapped was the least-watched new drama of all the networks, period.
NBC's new heavy-hitters are the sci-fi series, Heroes, and CBS' best new drama is Shark. Grey's Anatomy beat-out CSI, and while Ugly Betty and Brothers & Sisters have both performed well, neither is a break-out hit for ABC.
Of course, we're nowhere near done yet. There are more shows to come and old favorites returning in the weeks to come. I also have reviews of some of these shows coming (I'm just waiting to see the re-airings before I commit to anything).
