I've always wanted to visit New York, but I haven't had a chance to yet.

I wanted to share these facts about New York...

New York has over 70,000 miles of rivers and streams.

Dairying is New York's most important farming activity with over 18,000 cattle and or calves farms.

Christopher Reeve was born in New York, New York.

Since the 19th century, crime has been a big concern in New York city.

There is a real pet cemetery in Hartsdale that has been there since 1896.

New York is home to some of the richest people in the world. Stockbrokers there have made a fortune, literally.

There are a lot of New York hotels. Some are very upper class and some are your average hotels. If you are visiting and have no family though, you are going to have to stay in a hotel. And the hotels know it. You also have the choice of staying in various places like bed and breakfasts, etc. There is a lot to choose some. Some are reportedly haunted. When you visit New York, there is so much variety. There are even some historic New York hotels that have been there at least one hundred years. I prefer to stay in places like these because I like a place with a past.

The Renaissance New York Times Square goes for around $320 a night. The Signature Suites Battery Park goes for $522 a night. So when you decide to visit and stay in New York hotels you better make sure you are taking some cash along.

of course, you start talking about my state, you know I'm stopping in for a read. We're also number one in apple production, the hotels in NYC change the amount for rooms every single night (Sunday night is the cheapest), there really is a Sleepy Hollow, one city is the snowiest large city in the country on a yearly basis (and second cloudiest), and it has the highest tax rate in the country; ugh! lol
