Exploring British Heritage

Have you ever been to Oxford? It is one of Britain's heritage citiies. If you want to see somewhere with a history that is interwoven through British history and culture, then that is one place you should choose. The oldest building, the Saxon Tower of St Michael at the North Gate which overlooks the city, dates back to the 11th century.

The stuff that interests me about Oxford is more to do with the arts and culture. I'm fascinated by the ancient Bodleian library (1427), one of only seven libraries that must receive a copy of every book published in the UK. It's got 7 million books - that's what I call a library. I read a lot, but I don't think I could get through that lot.

The last time I visited Oxford City, I didn't have time to look at the many attractions, which is a pity. I had just come off a long flight from Miami and was making my jetlagged way into work. I still had time to have a drink in a cafe, though.
