Excuse My French - but Being Single Sucks!!! Now the Only Question Is . . . What Are We Going to Do about It?!?!?!

When There is Nothing Left But God, That is When You Discover, God is All You Really Need (Creating a Relationship With Your Higher Power)

We all have stories of how we each got here, so lets just suffice it to say - WE ARRIVED!!!! Some with more cuts, bruises and scares than others (mine being physical, emotional and spiritual). For me, there is no lonelier place on earth than to feel totally, helplessly and hopelessly alone. Whenever, or however we arrived at what seems to be the end of the road, is actually the beginning of a new, miraculous road that has never been traveled in quite the way we are about to embark. The key though (to unlock the car door), is we have to sit at the end of the last road long enough to feel it, feel everything, every fear, pain and gut wrenching loneliness that is within us so we never forget where we’ve been. Next, instead of the standard question “Why me?,� we need to change our mind set and ask “What am I suppose to learn from this journey?�

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried to drive over, under or around the pain, the sadness and the fears, only to find them revisiting when I least expected them to. And let me tell you, their visits usually came out in anger and unwarranted meanness on some poor unsuspecting soul. Ignoring, stuffing or keeping those feelings locked inside, keep us right where we are - at that now DEAD END ROAD - for if we don’t deal with it now, once and for all, that new and miraculous road inviting us to leave is only a dream. Sooooooo, if you’re not already anxiously engaged in healing those wounds, as Nike would say . . “JUST DO IT!� Find a good therapist, a trusted friend, your clergy or write it out (one of the best tools I’ve ever used), BUT DO SOMETHING . . . RIGHT NOW!!!!!

AND GUESS WHAT? If we do finally resolve the past (for we are doomed to repeat it if we don’t), and are ready to move forward down that new miraculous road - GUESS WHO’S DRIVING? (OK, well IF we let Him) - YOU’RE RIGHT!! Someone who only wants the very best for us - someone who is ready to shower us with blessings as fast as we are able to receive them - you guessed it - OUR HEAVENLY FATHER or Your Higher Power!! Someone who loves us more than ANYONE ON EARTH! Another key though (the ignition key), is we have to LET HIM DRIVE OUR CAR!! I was pretty good about scooting over to the passenger seat to let Him drive, but I was still TELLING HIM WHERE TO TURN! Can you guess how many brick walls and dead ends I’ve hit? Hmmmm - trust me, you really don’t want to know - it’s not a pretty sight! Ever since I’ve locked myself in the trunk and have truly, with all my heart, might, mind and soul let Him drive, He has taken me on adventures I could never have written the script for in my wildest dreams . . . HONEST (and I have one HECK of an imagination!).

Sooooooooo, what do I do every day to keep from kicking myself out of the trunk and ripping the steering wheel out of His hands because I want to turn left? Well, tomorrow I share with you my daily regiment. Take what you like and leave the rest - just passing on what is so totally working for me right now!
