I have been posting on getting ready for interviews and stuff like that the past few posts. Now, let me get back to my topic of interest: Building A Presence in the Internet.

A friend has just finished making her product. She told me that she could not afford to even advertise to sell it. I saw the product. I know it has the potential. Yet, she has to do something to tell others about this product.

I told her to advertise in some local free ads in the internet. Many companies are offering free advertisings. She only needs to register herself as a member and then write a short ad. She did what I said. However, problem started when most of the ads were rejected. (The first sigh!)

We thought long and hard, wondering why they were rejected. Just then, I realised ... she did not insert a picture of her product with her ads!

She has created a sort of module for young students. So, the picture should be of a module in its physical form. However, to create such a cover needs time and certain software. (Another heavy sigh!)

We took some time to search for the graphic software that can help her. Of course, we could not afford even the shareware versions. We have to be satisfied with a few freeware graphic manipulators.

The lesson here: Remember that everything has its own principle. Even surfers who are interested in buying a simple item wants to look at the picture of the product first.

If you have not produced any image of your 'awesome' product, do so now. A picture tells a thousand words! This may be a baby step, but it is an important step!
