Empires Cannot Last Forever

Throughout history there has been usually one dominant force that far exceeded other pockets of power. The Tower of Babel was the last time there was an equal division of power. Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Alexander the Great, Roman, The Khans, Roman, England, and now the United States of America. Like all empires, the US depends on sucking the lifeblood out of every nation and peoples on the earth. The countless streams of cash making their way to the Swiss bank accounts of wealthy Americans come from every corner of the world. The reason it will come to an end is that when you attempt to impoverish all of mankind, the very structure of industry and individual effort collapses. The resulting chaos of fear and violence will destroy the golden goose.

Continuous reduction of wages worldwide will reduce the pie continuously. Less money to spent means less goods purchased, which in turn leads to lowered profits which of course calls for lowering wages. This death spiral is well under way as poorer countries desperately underbid other countries to gain employment, no matter how inadequate the wages might be. This may be amusing to the wealthy to watch people scampering for fewer and fewer dollars, but soon the entire system will collapse and the wealth they demanded at all costs will be worth little.

When seven billion people are sitting in small clumps of wasted flesh, the real estate values will be zero, the opulence of greed will be gone, and they’ll rule a planet not worth having. Enjoy it while it lasts, your descendants will curse you for what you’ve done.
