Ebay and feedback

I have been selling on Ebay for quite a few years now. Overall, I really enjoy it, and I've had positive experiences. I've also bought quite alot from Ebay.

When I first started purchasing stuff on there, I bought a photo album. The photo album was supposed to be brand new and the color was supposed to be Navy. I really didn't pay much for it, but I paid alot for the shipping. But once I got it, I was very disappointed. The photo album was not brand new, and it was a pink floral color.

So I emailed the seller, because I wanted to get my money back. I bought this specifically for the birth of my son, and a pink floral would not work. She refused, so I had to file a complaint.

A long battle later, I finally got my money back. I did not leave good feedback, and she did not leave good feedback on mine out of spite.

I think alot of people are afraid to leave negative feedback for a seller because they are afraid of what someone would leave on them. But if the seller really is lousy and you did what you were supposed to do (like pay on time) than you have nothing to be afraid of.

Now before I purchase an auction, I make it a point to read their feedback. If they only have one or two negatives out of 400, I feel safe enough to go with their auction. Because they might have just had a spiteful person to leave neg feedback. But if they have repeated negatives, I will not bid on their auction.

Ebay really is a fantastic place to get some great deals.
