Easter Extras and Party Favors

I have been recycling for years and I am still always looking for new creative ideas. This party favor can be used for Halloween treats, birthday parties or for your child’s Valentines for their class in place of cards. It all starts with toilet paper rolls!

I have a special garbage can in my garage to collect our empty toilet paper rolls all year round. It fills up really quick too. Since Easter is around the corner we can use this holiday as an example;

You Will Need
10-20 Empty Toilet Paper Rolls
Tissue Paper Pastel Color are best for Easter
Scissors
Colored Curly Ribbon (optional)
Easter Stickers (eggs, bunnies, baskets, ect)
Candy
First you will cut tissue paper the length and width of the card board roll. You will be wrapping this around the roll like a present in a few minutes. Next, take a hand full of candy or small toys and fill the roll up. You can scrunch up small pieces of tissue paper and stick in the ends to keep the candy in. Next, wrap your pastel tissue paper around the roll and twist at the each end of the roll. When your done, it should look like a Tootsie Roll. Tie curly ribbon at the ends for decoration and stick stickers onto the wrapped tube. All done!

You can hide these for your children along with their eggs or add to their baskets. This is also a great project for day care and elementary school students and safe! My favorite is to use orange and black tissue paper at Halloween to pass out to the trick-or-treaters. But these can be used for all occasions, just use you imagination.
