"You think I'd be waking you up if she was? No, man, this is important! O Ceallaigh's heading out of town!"

"Way."

"Way where?"

"Way out there, man. All the way out to Maine. Says he's gotta go install a, what was it now, 'scanning erectron microscope', or something like that."

"Erectron?!?"

"Electron, dude. What'd I say?"

"What you said is that it's time you washed that filthy mind of yours. With soap. So how long's he gonna be gone?"

"Ten days, dude. Ten whole days. You know what that means, don't you, dude?"

"Yeah ..."

"No more rules, dude. And no more snide remarks about us landing in hospital or leaving our cell phones all over the place. It's Party Time, dude! Bring on the beer and the hip-hop and the chicks! This place gonna be rockin'!"

"Uh ... dude ..."

"What, dude?"

"I hate to burst your bubble, dude, but you know what O Ceallaigh's being gone really means, don't you?"

"I hate it when you take that tone of voice with me. It usually mean something sucks."

"Well, it's like this. You ain't gonna be doin' no partyin' while O Ceallaigh's setting up that - damn, I was going to say "porn machine". Now you got me doin' it, dude! Anyway, you can lose the party idea. You gonna sit there and chill. Like it or not."

"Who made you the Daddy?"

"Ain't up to me, dude. Though the Cosmic Muffin knows you need one. But think for a second, if you can. Miracles do happen. You better hope those Maine blackflies don't carry O Ceallaigh off and suck him dry. If he's not out there banging fingers on keyboards about us, dude, what are we? And where?"

"You mean we're ..."

"Just erec ... dammit, electrons, dude."

"No. No. NO!! Yo, O Ceallaigh! All is forgiven. Come back!!!"
