DU: Hit No. 3 from Buono!

YO's rating: B- | The house video Web site for Up-Front Artists is always a favorite, since it breaks most new PVs, including this sparkler from Buono!, the trio's third single. But the single itself, "Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!," is what keeps DohhhUp! from getting a top grade. It looks as if Pony Canyon (I can't believe Tsunku would have anything to do with this song) wants to throttle back on the hard-nosed, leather-clad, motorcycle-driven "Renai Rider" and the fast-and-loose "Honto no Jibun" with this soft, fluffy schoolgirl number. But the bottom line: Will Buono! sales rise to the level to match the hype (and substantial promotional investment) made with these three? Most assuredly, the vocals stand the test here. Of the three Buono! singles so far, this one best showcases the velvet throats of Momoko, Miyabi and Suzuki, and the personalized chalk drawings at the kind of cinch it, don't you think? Reminds me of "I Wish!"
