Drunken Fool

alcohol | Funny | ridiculous

I'm sure that we have all had too much to drink at one time or another. Suffered the dreaded hangover from hell, and learned from it. We have all dealt with our friends that have drank too much at a gathering, bar, or party. But my latest experience has lead me to vent. Have you ever had to deal with a 6'5, 350lb drunken fool?
We had a party at our office last Friday for St. Patrick's Day. We are on the parade route and it's a great spot for the kids to view the parade. Our crowd has grown over the past few years and it was bigger than ever this year. My husband has a group of friends that all grew up together and still keep in touch. One friend in particular, lives about 100mi away, comes up every year for this party. Usually bringing the wife and a few kids. This year he showed up w/just one of his kids, a 15 yr old. With the wife not there, I wondered if I would be babysitting later that day. Not that I didn't already have my hands full with the 40+ people that we had invited. This man was so intoxicated by 5pm it was pitiful. And he is HUGE! I am 4'11 for heaven's sake! My husband isn't much bigger, at a whopping 5'7. Our friend proceeded to stumble all over the place, found his way to the corned beef & cabbage, ate, went back out into the streets (they are closed off for the day) and shows back up with a gallon-yes a gallon- of Jim Beam. He REALLY needed that. By this time, he can not walk or talk, he's practically crawling. Proceeds to start puking, thank God someone grabbed a trash can. He split the drywall in the hallway, just his dead weight I suppose. It took 5 people to get him into my truck to take him back to our house. They usually stay a night or two, depending what day St.Pat's falls on. I had to listen to him snor, or use a chainsaw, whatever that was-all night. He gets up at 5am, smoking one cigarette after another, wakes my 16 yr old for a ride back to his vehicle, and I haven't heard from him since. This episode has lead both my husband and I to go to someone else's party next year.
