'Dr. Toy' Touts Slot Cars as Quality Fun

(NewsUSA) - Action, thrills, Marvel Comics heroes. The new X-Men slot car version from Carrera Toys, the largest manufacturer of slot cars and track systems, was named a "Top 10 Action Toy" and a "Top 100 Best Toy" for 2006 by children's product expert Stevanne Auerbach, also known as "Dr. Toy."

According to Auerbach, parents and children need to play together more, and adults need to find toys that "pull kids away from the computer."

Alan Hess, president of Carrera of America, is proud the race sets encourage multigenerational play. "Like all Carrera systems, X-Men is challenging play for all ages. The entire family, from young children to grandparents, can join in," says Hess.
