Do you really earn money from blogging?

Everybody says blogging is a good way to make money but do you really earn from blogging? You can ad banners, links, text ads to your site to earn extra money but how do you really get your blog to get you cash? Payperpost is a good site http://mailboxmoney.blogspot.com You'll find their banner at 1 of my other blogs. But your blog has to be 90 days old before you can write reviews for advertisers but the money you get from them seems good. You can also add a review my post box to each of your posts. You can still join as an affiliate and earn money from referring new members. But you have to get your blog going so it's almost like a forum where people come and chat but by writing. Then advertisers and other bloggers will be more interested in your site. There's mylot which is an online forum where you can make money posting and replying to discussions but what about blogging? If your blog gets a lot of hits then the ads on your site like bidvertiser (see my mailboxmoney blog) or google (see my urban city crew blog http://urbancitycrew.blogspot.com will make you money. Interested readers will click on the ads and you'll get paid. I think it's a bitr like internet advertising and marketing, you shouldn't try and make money from the blog but just keep the blog going and then the blog will just earn money for itself.
