Do we really need great talking skills to be successful salesmen?

There is one popular myth that all good salesmen are great conversationalists and we have to be good at talking skills in order to be successful in selling.
Thankfully this is not so. This is good news for people like me who are not so good in talking skills. However we need to develop another skill which is essential in selling.
