DIRECT TV, the leading satellite provider in the country is working towards its committed 100 high-definition by the year end. DIRECTV 10, a satellite was launched by July to enhance the bandwidth to serve 100 HD channels. This month DIRECT TV is planning to launch 30 HD channels and by October another 20 channels will be beamed. The fourth quarter will see DIRECT TV completing its commitment. Other satcater are also lining up with new HD channel announcement.
