DIRECT TV has earlier commited that they will end up beaming 100 national high-definition channels. DIRECTV 10 was launched during July to enhance the bandwidth to expand its HD broadcast. During the second quarter webcast, DIRECT TV revealed its HD plans that by the end of Third quarter 70 channels will be bradcasted and will end up the year by 100 cahnnels.
To receive DIRECTV's local HD programming, customers must have an H20 or H21 HD receiver or an HR20 or HR21 DIRECTV Plus® HD DVR and a Ka/Ku band dish.
