Dig All the Self-Absorbed Jerks at Digg.com
Interesting that the blogging world has produced its own self-proclaimed, know-it-all, highbrow critics -- the otherwordly and profoundly insulting techno-aristocrats at Digg.com.
Want a few laughs? Post one of your blogs on Digg.com and watch as the piranhas feed. A tight circle of real nutballs consumes everything that is not Hemingwayesque in literary quality, and they hand out insults like the rest of us drink water.
Now that's not really a problem. After all, good writing and editing is an arduous discipline.
But Digg.com does not sell itself that way. It is actually a very high-octane media review. Yet, it invites bloggers, not necessarily the experts, the Noam Chomskys among us. Yes, we cretins who climb out from under a rock once in a blue moon to scrawl "garbage," as one Digghead remarks continually.
What about the blokes on the street, some of whom might have something to say to the techno-aristocrats, provided the latter can stop smelling their own breath, disengage themselves from their laptops for one minute, get a breath of air, and offer a decent response instead of a cheap shot?
That's the chickenshit way. And, come on, picking on bloggers? It's like taking candy from the proverbial infant (actually, in your case, unborn fetus). By definition, you fools at Digg, many blogs are written by average people trying to get a word out on their own without some Ivory Tower chowderhead or methamphetamine queen shooting it down and having it flamed off Digg's story lists before it even gets a chance to be reviewed.
Good luck, boneheads. Have fun ripping non-journalists and average people. They're the ones paying your freight while you sit in judgement on your silicon throne.
