Did anyone watch Dr. Phil Today (Friday)?

Dr. Phil had a very explosive episode today.

There was a mother and grandmother on there today alleging that the 3 yo's father was inappropriately touching her.

One night child protective services showed up at the mother's house saying that the father had taken the child to the emergency room due to a tear on the labia. The child had been at the fathers for visitation.

In the end, child protective services told the mother that they had no grounds to charge him with anything and basically said to stop calling.

The father said he thought the child got the tear from normal playing.

You tell me how a 3 year old child gets that type of injury from normal playing.

I missed the end of the show, so the last I saw was Dr Phil was going to arrange a lie detector test for the father. Did they announce it on the show?

If the father fails the lie detector test, what does that say for child protective services? Is cps really protecting children?

I saw this show,...

and the follow up show, where he passed a lie detector also, though it was sort of dubious. However, the lie detector on the mother also showed that she failed one of the questions herself, that one being that she might have been coaching the child to say some things. Tough stuff, that's for sure.
