Daffodils And Robins

Oh, what a beautiful day! Makes me think of spring, green grass (no mower...just grass), tulips, and daffodils.....and robins.

It won't be, can't be, long now. As soon as they get those maple syrup buckets put away, we can expect that special miracle to happen any time.....in all it's verdant wonder.

Why would anyone who hates cold weather and bald trees like I do choose to live in a climate that supports a 7-month winter? Good question, and I have no answer, except that this is where my parents were raised and where they raised me. Why do people get stuck in these ruts? There are a million other places to live. I would only need to pack up and go.....sounds simple enough.

But, I'm not leaving now.....when my daffodils are thinking of coming out of hibernation. Maybe next year.

It's the Spring that Attracts Us

Even if we don't like winter, I think that most of us just love the feeling of newness and hope that spring brings. I'm looking forward to my snow crocuses and my daffodils, too!

Cardinals

I saw a pair of cardianls outside my kitchen window the other day too! I think I see more cardinals here than robins.
