Customer Service – what is it?

Good customer service is crucial to the continuing success of any business. In a competitive marketplace, with more discerning customers, quality customer service is what will make you, and your business stand out from the crowd and catapult you to greater success.
How do you know what is good or excellent customer service?
Just think about the last time you went shopping? Into a mall or a small store? Did anything irritate you? Was it bad manners on the part of the shop assistant? A don’t care less attitude? Staff more interested in themselves and their own activities that in you and what you wanted?
Was the store messy – floors cluttered, staff dressed for a picnic and not for business? Sloppy service – not interested in what you want or need, but more interested in making a sale? Or let you wander around the store “browsing

Is the customer right?
I firmly believe that customer service does not exist in this country any more. The days of "the customer is always right" are long gone.
It is very disappointing sometimes.
