The only sure fire method to weight loss is changing the mind about how food is viewed. You must eat to live, and never live to eat. Food is the ultimate social conductor for most of us weather we come from large families or not. Pretty soon, its not going to matter weather you like vegetables or not because its just the healthier choice. Health insurance is connected to this issue at the hip because there are people that dont think they should have to pay higher insurance premiums for someone elses unhealthy lifestyle. Most of my extended family is morbidly obese, and diabetic. We must surely suffer from some unrecognized flaw in our mental assessment of food if we can gorge ourselves with one hand and file a lawsuit with the other. I agree completely with the idea that people arent unhealthy just because they're big. I just cant agree with these 700 or 1000 pound shut-ins that have to be (craned) out of thier homes on tax payer dollars. Especially when theres usually someone living with them feeding them constantly. I can celebrate the beauty of a full figured woman, but I cant make eating a recreation in my head because its a necessity before its a pleasure. Fruit for breakfast, a full lunch, and a slightly smaller dinner will yeild results if you dont want to hit the gym everyday. You cant be impatient with yourself if you've given birth because your body has undergone hormonal changes that affect mind and body. You cant be impatient if you've been big all your life because your talking about a lifestyle makeover and its easier said than done. Anything can be a drug
