My daughter is very fond of saying "Oh yes I will"...usually said with a heavy accent of some sort...she can mimic ANY accent after hearing it only once. But don't let me get off track here as this blog is about all you nay sayers out there...lets get ONE thing straight ok? When someone tells me something about themselves I ALWAYS believe them...I had a friend tell me once "That guy over there told me he gets a kick out of stealing" Then he looks at me and says "I bet he was just joking"...I said NOPE...if he told ME that, I would believe him...no sooner said then the idiot that likes stealing stuff gets caught red handed stealing!.
Why do we choose to disbelieve what people tell us? Because we want them to like us? Or because we want to like them? Women are particularly bad when it comes to this...we have a crush on the "bad boy' so we ignore his ugly ways...and yes the signs are always present. Am I a tad jaded? YES I AM! And yet it is always so much easier to ignore than it is to be truthful...even with oneself.
Politically speaking this also applies big time! The old saying is "If a politicians lips are moving then he is lying" YES THEY DO! And I would take that a step further and say "If a Republicans lips are moving get the hell out of the way before the shit pie hits you square in the face"

I just saw this blog......and yes....you are...a decent hard working, intelligent woman who says it like it is...It's a great message and more people should think like you do.....It's time to start a campaign to free ourselves from the bonadage of pretense.....we are....afterall.....good people who want nothing more than to make a better world for our children to live in. To do that we have to turn out good people to make the world a better place to live in.
Today....two fo my children are meeting a friend who lost both his mother and his father within 5 months....his mmother died from heart disease and his father was killed in an accident at work. My children care about this friend....they are rallying to his cry for help.....
I raised my kids to care about other people. I am proud of their response to people in need. Last summer my daughter saw an accident and pulled over and ran to the aid of the family. The kids are the first to say, "I'm helpful.....I care".....
You say to listen to what people tell you about themselves.....that's wisdom......people do tell you even if they say it as if they are joking....
The important thing here is for people to be the kind of person they want you to believe they are......good or bad.....right or wrong.....whatever it is......admit to it....."Yes, I am"......
And we still want Sassys...

Hello you! How the hell are you?? We have been in sore need of your brilliant blogging and your exquisite poetry!! I have not seen PW here in a while she was fed up with all the dreaded sploggers...but she will come back once I convince her that they are being kept at bay! I have tried SEVERAL times to get on over at BE...I wonder who their admin is? Perhaps someone I have oft offended in the past? Per Chance? LOL. I really believe that!

I agree with you as usual 100%...If we treat each other with respect NOT "the way I want to be treated" But with plain old respect then odds are we get respected in return! Why people don't get that beats me! Speaking of beatings...I saw the guy across the parking lot beating this little dog today...MAN OH MAN!! I walked up to him and told him that if I ever saw him hit his dog again I would call the ASPCA...he told me it was none of my business...so I called the ASPCA and they took away his poor little dog...then he looked at me and said "I guess you meant it" and he LAUGHED???????? I tell you he was and is kinda scary crazy! But that's exactly what I mean...I always follow through! Not everyone does and those of us that do usually have decent kids because of it!

We have reported abused anomals before...but the guy you describe here seems a little off the wall so be careful.....People get rude when they are in the wrong and someone intervenes on behalf of a child or an animal. Those people need to realize other people are watching them.....I applaud your action.....those dip *hits better learn not to challenge Sassys.......
