Make Your Own Floral Wreath Wedding Veil

Nothing beats the beauty of flowers, ribbons, and bows for your wedding day. And no fashion accessory is more important than the wedding veil. Combining these two things together is easy with these instructions to make your own floral wreath wedding veil.

Materials Needed for the Flora Wedding Veil

To make the floral wreath wedding veil, you need a piece of floral wire long enough to wrap around the bride’s head. You also need white floral tape, assorted silk or dried flowers, sprigs of sequins, pearls, or beads, ribbon, and tulle or lace.

You should have scissors and a hot glue gun or strong, clear-drying craft glue on hand.

Constructing the Floral Wreath

The first step in making a flora wreath wedding veil is creating the loop of wire that will fit on the bride’s head. The next step is covering the wire with one layer of the white floral tape. This will make a neat backdrop for the flora wreath decorations.

Take some time to design how the floral wreath band should look. Silk and natural flowers make great decorations, as do sequins, beads, and pearls on thin plastic strings. Small ribbon bows and loops of lace also make great accents.

Starting at one end of the wire headband, lay the stem of the first flower against the wire and wrap it tightly with the white floral tape. Continue around the entire wire headband, attaching all the other flowers and decorations to the wire. You will end up with a lovely bride’s floral wreath headband.

Creating and Attaching the Wedding Veil

Of course, your bride can wear the beautiful floral wreath headband without a veil if she chooses. However, attaching the veil is a very easy process. Begin by choosing your favorite flat lace, tulle, or gauze material. Make sure you have enough for the bride’s desired veil length.

After carefully hemming the fabric, or edging it in ribbon, use strong thread of transparent fishing line to stitch the gathered edge to the back of the floral headband. It should be stitched on the inside of the headband so the flowers and other decorations hide the thread. If a front veil is also desired, you can do the same thing in the front of the headband. For the bride’s first kiss, the veil can be lifted up and over the floral wreath wedding veil.

This floral wreath wedding veil can be made in any style, color, or size. It is a fabulous craft that can be made for the bride. With these simple directions and ribbons, lace, tulle, and silk or dried flowers, the wedding veil will be a lovely creation.
