Kiefer Sutherland "I'm sooo sooo sorry!"

Since I received my degree and the economy took a dive, my being unemployed caught up with me and to say the least my satellite TV no longer exists. I have no complaints, I still have a bed to sleep in and food to eat, which is a lot more than many in my situation can say these days. Even though I had the basic package, the satellite TV thing was never really affordable to me. It was something that I indulged in and I really don’t miss all of those commercials and brainwashing anyway. Besides, these days you can just rent the DVD compilation of any TV show ever made, which brings me to the whole point of this discussion.
Lately, I have been indulging myself on a TV series that I’ve found at that last bastion of free thought and collectively socialized resource called the library. L I B R A R Y, yes, an ancient and archaic grouping of letters that one must read to fully understand the real path to empowerment and the true enemy of privatization, free information. However, my quest to better myself by learning another language and concentrating my search for books written in Spanish was diverted by the DVD section, and my discovery of their collection of DVDs, specifically, the TV series 24. I grabbed a 6 CD set of the whole first season of episodes. I watched them all in like two or three sittings. I was completely fascinated with all the double crossing and lying, totally Hollywood baby. Like a crack addict, I went back to the library for some more, and there it was season three. I grabbed it, and took it back to my brainwashing center, for some more programming. I must say, after that experience I am done. I kept saying to myself the whole time, “well, at least there are no commercials.” Commercials are forbidden in my home, I had once thought that I had found a way around them before with a DVR feature, but that ends up being like hyper-brainwashing, brainwashing in fast forward, where you’re still receiving the subliminals, but in a fraction of the time. 24 with commercials would have been like the ultimate in Orwellian conditioning. All I have to say to Keifer Sutherland is, “I’m sooooo sooooo sorry.” How can a lost boy, a young gun, and the scientist who exposed the conspiracy behind the dark city have been involved in such a devious plot against the minds of Americans? Damn, even Easy Rider, Dennis Hopper got in on that shit. I wonder if they were duped into it by all the action and espionage like I was, and were like, “ahh man that was the shit,” but later thought to themselves, “was I brainwashing people?” Hell, money is money I guess, its all god damn dirty. I figure an episode of 24 each week with a healthy dose of fox news coverage, along with all those commercials in between, would be as president Palmer would’ve said, “secondary to your well being.” I mean, I know I’ve been in the dark for a very long time, but damn the timing of this TV series was the epitome of unscrupulous. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the terrorists this season were Venezuelan, Somali, or Honduran. Although, I guess it doesn’t really matter what nationality the terrorists are portrayed as, just as long as the whole idea of fear is disseminated and the feeling of trust in one another is replaced by a feeling of suspicion. I know, I know, it’s just a damn TV show, LOL.
