Get Tradeshow Traffic To A Booth

Getting a lot of traffic is the goal for having a trade show display at a convention. After spending the money for the booth, travel, and the display it all comes down to getting people to the booth to hear your message. With that in mind do not be afraid of having your booth stand out a trade show. The following are some tips to make that happen.
The tried and true gimmicks still work. People still like a drawing for a prize, spinning a wheel for a prize, or putting for a prize. These ideas for a trade show booth will still draw people to a booth. It doesn't take much to pull these off but the investment in the prizes. You should have your most extroverted staff member serving as a hawker to get people to the gimmick.
Another tactic is to very simply be loud and exuberant. Surely you have seen at state fairs people selling Shamwows, salsa makers, Ginsu knives, etc. If your product or service is a point-of-sale type item, then develop your own presentation in this format. If your product or service is more professional then you can still use this format to your advantage. Just play it up. Dress up like Billy Mays and do a presentation using some of the props of a pitchman. The script could go something like "while this knife cuts through a hammerhead allow me to tell you something how our software solution cuts through downtime." Have fun with it and be creative. Use the "but wait, there's more" line. Another famous line of such presentations is "for all of these features you would expect to pay." If you have fun with it, so will your audience and you can get them to do what you want.
Another tactic is to bribe people to stop by booth. For this you'll probably need more expensive promotional products to make it worth people's time and effort to stop by the booth. If it is vital they hear a presentation, then offer a premium for people to sit through the presentation. This could be a nice screen printed T-shirt or something of that value range. If you are able to pre-contact attendees, you can have a two-item promotional product to lure them to the booth. Like in the pre-mailing send a sunglasses case with the promise of sunglasses if they stop by the booth.
Hopefully these tactics will have a massive amount of tradeshow traffic coming to your booth. Bringing your business a lot in sales.
