Age Spots also known as Sun spots

Age spots are brown patches that gradually pepper the back of your hands and arms during your forties and fifties. They are caused by years of direct exposure to the Suns ultraviolet rays which damages the colour producing cells of the skin.
The cells called melanocytes then go into overdrive producing too much colour. No matter how much you try to lighten the spots they will still come back if they are re-exposed to the sun.
It is always advisable to wear a good sun-block when going out into the sun which I am sure most people are aware.
In the following you will find a couple of remedies that might help to lighten age spots.

AROMATHERAPY can help spots to fade.
The essential oils of lemon and Benzoin have bleaching properties.
COMBINE two to three drops of one of the oils with a vegetable carrier such as almond oil mix well then apply the mixture to the spots twice daily.

OR
HONEY & YOGURT. a natural bleach.
Mix one teaspoon of plain yoghurt with one teaspoon of honey mixed thoroughly together.
Apply the mixture to the spots leave for half an hour then rinse off, do this once a day.
I do hope this is a help to all the ladies and gents who want to be rid of their age spots.
