I recently started volunteering at a local radio station. KDVS in Davis 90.3. It's a great radio station and volunteering is a lot of fun. The great thing about the radio station is that it's freeform, meaning the dj's that are on air at the time can play whatever they want. You get to hear a lot of great music and none of the corporate bullshit they play on commercial radion. People out there need to start supporting community radio and stop listening to commercial raio. How many people complain about the lousy quality of commercial radion, only to continue to listen to it, even though there are so many other options out there? If you aren't satisfied with commercial radio, through the FM dial under 92, there is all sorts of interesting radio there. If you stop listening, they will change.
