Why does free food have such appeal? Is it because it meets one of Maslow’s basic needs? Why is there free food at opening of a new art showing at the gallery? To ensure that there is a decent crowd on the first day. I am certain of it. If I could figure out a way to give free food to the people reading this blog I am sure readership would soar!

The other day I wrote about getting silver bars. Here is something that I find even more exciting. Gift baskets. Gourmet gift baskets! When I was a kid I used to love looking at these things in the Christmas wishbook. Those little jars of jam. All those different cheeses and crackers. The little packages of meats and sausages. I had enough to eat as a child so my basic food requirements were being met but the gift baskets still had immense appeal. I have received some since as an adult and for the most part these things have been as satisfying as I thought. One basket had chocolate covered coffee beans and I could have done without that.

Free Food

I like the surprise of free food. Is that odd? Instead of ordering something, you're given FOOD. If it tastes bad, can you complain? I seem to enjoy it more.

The things I've done for free food, you don't want to know.
