Chase Bank

I can honestly tell you that I have visited many Chase branches while I have been on the road for various projects. I have visited them in different stages and visited many within New York for a period of the last five years and I can honestly say that this branch is one of the best that I have ever done business with. I usually dislike banks for the obvious reasons and just because there is a million people standing in line waiting to deposit money or just accomplish small tasks which could otherwise be done online if they enabled the customer. However, I stopped by this branch today and this was not the experience that I was given. I stopped in to make a payment to my Chase credit card and I was able to find the payment slips within seconds of arrival at the bank. They had three pens available which made it easy for me to fill out my documents without having to wait for others to finish using the pen (which has been my experience at many banks) and I appreciated the time that I saved.
When I went to wait in line I noticed that there was not two tells available to help customers which I was a bit annoyed by and a customer came in and cut me in line before I could even say anything. It turned out he knew one of the workers which is why they waited on him first but I was bothered and decided to wait my turn, this was not a problem though because I was helped within a period of about three minutes. The teller simply asked me what I wanted to do and I informed her and it took her about a minute and a half to run my payment slip through the machine and mark my bills for authenticity.
Once that was done she just put the payment in the draw and wished me a good day, I was impressed that I went with my girlfriend and we were both there to make payments and were done in about seven minutes total. This was the quickest service I had ever gotten at any branch, I found the employees friendly and they did brighten my day because they made me feel like that appreciated my business which is a rare thing in the world today.
Another difference that I noticed within this branch was that there was no glass for me to slide my payment to the teller and in fact, there was nothing that blocked me from having personal communication with her. I liked this because I did not feel like a criminal like I do when I visit other branches that have a glass blocking the teller and a speaker for you to slide your payment to them.
Also, the employees were active and looked happy, they were there to do their job and not get away with doing less (like in most places) a customer had come in to open an account and there was a banker that overhead what the girl was there for and he jumped out of his seat and went to him to start gathering her information. This branch is very well organized and motivated and I just wish that every branch operated this way.
