I'm probably going to regret posting this. But with my car insurance doubling in the last year, I just feel the need to vent.

For one thing, I haven't been in an accident in almost eight years. That's nearly a decade! And I think it's been even longer than that since I've had any speeding tickets. Actually, I think my last speeding ticket was about six years ago. That's right. I remember because the accident I had busted out one of my headlights. I never even had a ticket before that. But that busted headlight attracted the cops to my car like it was a donut.

Okay, that was a cheap joke, but I just use it to illustrate my point.

So I've been a safe driver. I'm over 25. I'm grown up. My car isn't worth that much. I just don't understand why my car insurance has gone up so much. Maybe it's got something to do with the gas prices...everything else does.

And now since I've talked about how I haven't received a ticket lately or gotten in an accident, I probably jinxed myself.
