Thanks... and you know, people don't have to be MySpace experts to write about it (if that was the case, then I'd NEVER write about it)... your article just has to relate to MySpace in someway.. and be USEFUL... not just a rant against MySpace or something like that.
For example, you can write articles about celebrities who have MySpace profiles... etc.
And hey... did I see a new 8th & Ocean post???!!!

Well... I signed up for myspace finally a few weeks ago and I did this myspace train thing but now it's just spamming me and I dont like it so I never logged back on lol. I just wanted to make some friends but I dont know. I didnt like it too much. It feels like a giant universe, you know? So lost there...

Did you get more friends that what you'd bargained for? I did the same thing... innocently signed up for one of those "trains" wanting more MySpace friends... and got the weirdest people... devil worshipers, you name it... and then there's the endless bulletins from people wanting me to add their "sister" and "this poor guy with no friends". And they all promise to "whore me" if I just add that one person. MySpace is definitely it's own universe... with it's own language...

Why 14-25 if you are 27?

Are you trying to say I'm old? ;-)
I chose 14-25 year olds as my target audience because I believe that's the group that is fueling the MySpace madness.
I'm 27 and on Myspace, but I don't think I'm the typical MySpace user. I'm not on MySpace 24/7, just for fun... it's more like every other day for a few minutes.
Plus it seems a little weird to me for "older" people to be on MySpace.... but maybe that's just me.

For the moment anyway ...
Writes the newspaper comic strip The Boondocks. Has (or had) a weekly late-night gig on the Cartoon Network too. Went on vacation a couple of weeks ago, supposedly will be back in October.

I've read Boondocks... but I don't usually make it a habit to know the names of the comic strip writers...and I don't think I've ever watched the Cartoon Network... that makes me sheltered? :-/

Actually, six months is about typical
Yeah, but strip writers, unless they're really good and really well organized, work every day - that's 7 days per week - for years at a time. Can get to ya. Garry Trudeau (Doonesbury) and Bill Watterson (Calvin and Hobbes) both took at least that much time off during their strip's career. Peanuts is on hiatus too at present (re-running strips like Boondocks is); people don't seem to have gotten the message yet that Charles Schulz's vacation is permanent.

I was working on tomorrows Hot Debate when I actually accidentally read some interesting facts about myspace.
I think you are right on in your target audience. Did you know that 80% of myspace users are between the ages of 14 - 24? Another 10% are 25 - 27. Wow. Isn't that crazy?
