Branson Rocks

The more research I do about Branson, Missouri, the more fun it sounds. It truly does sound like the “Vegas of the Midwest.” But it seems like it caters to older people. That’s fine with me. I feel like I’m 97 some days. But I was thinking about staying at one of the Branson resortsand taking in a few shows for our vacation this year. The World-Fest sounds like a lot of fun. It’s a celebration of goodwill among various cultures and continents in one small place. Music and dance from different regions are featured and it’s the perfect place to bring the entire family.

But I think I’d enjoy the Bluegrass and BBQ Festival a lot more. For three weeks in May 2008, the biggest names in the Bluegrass music genre appear and entertain everybody in attendance. In addition to that, the event features some of the best and most popular BBQ flavors from Memphis and other regions of the South. From dry rubs to Carolina vinegars and everything in between, this certainly sounds like an event where I would definitely need to wear a huge and absorbent bib.
