I’ve been watching the Science channel for most of the evening and I saw a very interesting documentary about a man with amazing capabilities in math and language. It’s seems as though he is literally the first of his kind! They call him “Brainman.

I’m sure many of you have seen “The Rain Man. A man, who at first glace, second or even third you would think was retarded or unable to learn and that couldn’t be farther from the truth. The man that “The Rain Man was based on was also featured in this documentary.

The documentary pointed to Autism. By all standards of knowledge the “The Rain Man is literally a genius. However autism hinders him from mastering any sort of social skills. However it is also the autism that gave him those super human powers of knowledge.

The difference between the “Rain Man“, and the “Brainman that the documentary was based on is that the “Rain Man cannot express himself or function socially. The “Brainman can. He can do complex math problems in his head and then explain to you how his mind presented the numbers to him. It’s really very interesting and if you like to know more about “Brainman“ well, you know where to click.

"The Rain Man" can read a page in 10 or 15 seconds that would take an average person 2 or 3 minutes to read and retain about 98% of what he read.

"The Brainman" has learned 9 languages and says that he could teach himself another one in about a week."

Trust me, you really want to find out more about these amazing people.
I think it just goes to show us that amazing gifts
are given in places that many of us cannot always recognize.
