Brad Pitt and Shakira! Giving it Their All!

Two of my favorite celebrities are in the news, again, and they didn't even have to get arrested! No one got tanked, or drove a car like it WAS a tank. Sorry, no sex tapes or even nude pics. They're making headlines by helping those in need.

This week, Shakira gave over $44 million to charity through her Latin America for Solidarity Foundation. The money will help with natural disaster recovery and will fund children's educational projects. It's nice to see that some entertainers know how to give back to the world!

Bradd Pitt is already well known for his charitable side, but this hits home. He's helping to rebuild neighborhood here in my home town, New Orleans. Last week, he announced a plan to build 150 'green' houses in the Lower Ninth Ward, an area that was completely flooded during Katrina. Like Shakira, he shared his plans at the Clinton Global Initiative in New York.

We're all sick of seeing celebs acting badly, but fascinated by it at the same time. I thought you'd like to hear something positive for a change. Maybe scandal happy 'stars' can take a hint from these two A-listers and get over themselves already.
