No offense people, but if you are here just to make some money, you might be disappointed. Don't get me wrong, you might make something, and I'm not trying to say that I am better than you, but I couldn't care less if I made a dime off this website. I simply blog for the exposure this website provides. I love being able to see how many people read my articles.

I write because I want to, and if I happen to make some money off of it, that's cool too. I am a member of a publishing website where I submit articles (not a blog) and I've made a lot of money so far. But my intention was to reach people, and I would have done it for free. If you are interested in reading, http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/6562/pchan_stockton.html by all means do so.

If making money (as opposed to gaining exposure and having your voice heard) is your primary goal, then maybe you should do something else. That's just my opinion, feel free to bash me and disagree all you want.

I agree with you. I like getting comments and feedback as well, although some of my blogs don't get them. And thanks for the link. You seem to be fairly prolific. I might sign up with Associated Content myself. I have a few articles I'm looking for a "home" for, but I don't want to post them as a blog because they are so long.

Keep writing...

I've read a few of your blogs and you are a good writer. If you do sign up for associated content, let me know the url. I'd like to read some of your articles. It took about 2 weeks for some of my articles to be approved, but once they are online it is worth it.

I'll definitely let you know. I've had some articles published online before, but many websites only want shorter articles. And some don't necessarily want articles on the topics I've written about.

As far as money and blogging are concerned, I think people miss an important aspect of being a writer, and that is having people read your work.

Anyhow, happy blogging!

you are in luck!

Associated content pays based on how unique your article is, and the longer the better. So all of my "boring" (unique!) philosophy essays that were collecting dust in my room made an average of $6 each. And I have a lot of articles, so you do the math. The most I've made for one article so far has been $15. I am thrilled that I am making money and getting exposure. I've made $121 so far, and I've only recently joined. Make sure to submit as "non-exclusive" if you want to keep the rights to your work, that way you can still submit elsewhere. keep in touch, pchan.

instead of (or in addition to) blogging for pennies, sign up at associated content like I did.

It's free to join, they pay you to write. If you want to keep the rights, submit as "non-exclusive". Read the faq's, submit your work, and once you are accepted, you will be earning money too. If you have any more questions let me know.
