Blogging and The Opportunities It's Brought Me!

Blogging is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. Since I started blogging in July of 2006, I have come across numerous opportunities that would not have happened otherwise.

I read some very popular mommy blogs and they have often mentioned how they have been invited to apear in reality shows like Wife Swap and Dr. Phil. I was shocked and wondered if something like that would ever happen to me. First I got an email from Parents magazine. They asked if I would be interested in being featured in one of their issues. They're doing an article about moms with different fun traits. I received two emails from them. The last one stated that I was in the running and they would contact me after the editor's decision. It was exciting just to be considered. I haven't heard from them yet and I haven't seen the article in the magazine either. We might still be going to another photo shoot!

The day before yesterday, I received an email from a marketing manager at Simon and Shuster. They asked if they could send me a free copy of a new book that is going to be released. They thought my readers would appreciate the book. I agreed to receive the book, read it and give a review. I got the book today! As soon as I read the book, I will give you a review!

There are also the business opportunities to work from home for just writing! I was just accepted by paidwriter today! I can't wait for the first assignment!

So, don't be discouraged just because you aren't making a million dollars. You never know who is reading and what opportunity will come your way. (Today someone from Columbia Artists Management was reading one of my blogs).
