I have been blogging on different subjects and most of them had nothing to do with my interest. Some subjects like ‘make money,’ got me more reads but actually I was not specialized in that subject. I am interested more in movies and traveling. Then I started blogging on my area of interest. Soon I found that I got a steady reading public. This was because the content I created in travel and movies were authentic and I had more control over the subjects I dealt.

Specializing in a particular area for blogging has lot of advantages. Firstly, it gives us control over the subject that we are blogging and makes us more trustworthy. It saves both time and energy and improves our skill in the particular field. Another important advantage is that it gives us a steady group of readers with similar interest.

Blogging on popular subjects might give you readers initially. But it will not bring in clicks as the blogs will be mostly weak. Specializing on a particular area can make one more popular and get clicks as the subject matter dealt will be more authentic.
