People Cheat Because They Are Scum-Sucking Low Life Losers!

Hmmnn.. I was hoping to approach this topic objectively after seeing it raised in someone else's blog but now that I look back at my title I'm thinking maybe I failed.

Well, with all due respect to the blogger who tried to ratioionalize the psychology of cheating, I don't have much use for any viewpoint that tries to justify cheating by explaining it as being the result of emotional neglect or one partner's desires being left unfufilled in bed.

An Experiment...

Ok, well I have to confess to being a little disappointed...

I have tried several creative apporoaches and really been completely disatisfied with the amount of interest any of my endeavours have gathered...

I am going to post a 10 year old paper from university (all mine!) just to see if it generates a comparable number of reads to anything else I've actually spent time writing.

My earlier offer in "Will Blog For Clics..." still stands...

MRI Anyone?

I figured out tonight why I've never had an MRI before.

In spite of the one-size-fits-none gown and the opportunity to be stuffed into a tube like too much filling in a burrito, it really wasn't all that much fun.

Oh sure, I had high hopes after I had explained for the third time to entirely different (and seemingly uncommunicative people) that I had never, ever had metal inserted into my body, on either a temporary or permanent basis and for neither recreational nor medical purposes... I thought, hey, if they know about things that I would never dream of inserting into my body then they must be a little fun...

Will blog for clics...

I couldn't help noticing that at any given time there seem to be only several members on the site but a very large number of guests... This leads me to believe that there are a lot of people out there looking for... who knows what?

As someone who both loves to write and also enjoys writing challenges, I am prepared to tackle a great deal. Just let me know what it is you are looking for and I will write it as a blog. Give me a few days and I should be able to find several to several hundred words for you. Perhaps you are looking for a short short story about a certain character or situation? Maybe you'd like a sketch of your life as you wish it to be someday. How about some "free" advice from someone who is a little wiser from both screwing up and having been screwed over? How about a poem on a certain theme? Let me know what your favorite form is: sonnet, lyric or how about some of your life story retold in moving doggerel?

What the blogger can learn from Dickens

Many people have a very soft spot for Charles Dickens and Victorian England as they are memorialized in both A Christmas Carol and a number of film adaptations of his classic novel over the past sixty years. But I’m not convinced that very many people have made the connection between what Dickens did a hundred and sixty years ago and what some contemporary literary genius may yet do blogging.

Your Suicide Note--part 1

Guy,

I won't even begin to ask for forgiveness for what we have done, but I hope you will come to understand that this final, desperate act of ours is as much an acknowledgement of wrongdoing on our part as it is an overture for peace. I do not ask for your forgiveness, but at some level I want to be understood. Since I offer you your sons, I think you are obligated to hear what I have to say.
