Aloha. Today we are going to look at some of the Best and the Worst Movie Sequels (in my humblest of opinions). I'm sure all of you at some time or another have anticipated a sequel only to be let down. Once in a blue moon a sequel even does better than its predecessor. Who, what, when, why, how for the success of a sequel can be debated for hours. We're going to examine a few movie sequels and what led to it's greatness or lack there of.

The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly: The Best and the Worst Movie Sequels
Submitted by randomsun on March 17, 2006 - 5:08am. blockbusters | entertainment | flops | movies | sequelsMovies that you should never buy let alone watch if you don't have to
Submitted by randomsun on March 16, 2006 - 7:56am. bad movies | entertainment | Harold and Kumar | Sin CityIt's going to be interesting to see how many hits this blogs gets as it's about movies that are a waste of time to watch. Since I'm on the subject of hits that blogs gets, it never ceases to amaze me when I visit this or other sites and see the number hits blogs about such subjects about the male anatomy, particularly, the validity of pills that claim to increase the size, gets.
Anyway, here is the meat, if you will, of this blog. I love to watch movies. I have a stupidly large collection of DVD's as a result of Blockbuster's 3 for $25 and Walmart's inexpensive offerings. I have to admit that in recent years, my standards for owning a movie has dropped because of these prices. You'll find a list of some movies I believe people should never buy let alone watch. You'll also find my sleeper/hidden gem of a movie, which appears to be a waste but will be a winner time and time again. Kick back, pop some popcorn and enjoy this blog without having to try to find joy in these movies.
The Bible and Diet
Submitted by randomsun on March 16, 2006 - 5:18am. Bible | diet | fasts | Religion | weight lossI've been fasting the past few weeks or at least tying to fast. The longest I've gone without eating anything is about 26 hours. I've had maybe two or three days where I ate more than once and for the most part eat about only once a day while drinking water the rest of the day.
Over the course of these weeks, I realized that most times I am not hungry... I just want to eat. This was a very profound thought to me and I recalled reading an article on MSN.com about people losing weight while studying the Bible. The article was interesting because people studied the Bible and then ate whenever they were hungry whatever they wanted until they were full. (Note: I noticed that I am now more aware of when my stomach is full.)
My new addiction... Nashville Star???
Submitted by randomsun on March 15, 2006 - 11:42pm. country music | Cowboy Troy | Judds | Nashville StarMy girlfriend is a huge country music fan. When we first began dating I remember going over to her place and just about every night Late Night CMT was on. That was probably my first prolonged exposure to country music.
I'll be very honest in that I never really liked Country Music. Were it not for my girlfriend, I would have never discovered Cowboy Troy and been able to tolerate country music. I had this running joke with friends that I could write a country music piece which began with "Well my best cow died today..."
What if Tony dies? Ideas about the Sopranos
Submitted by randomsun on March 15, 2006 - 11:15pm. films | gangsters | HBO | MAFIA | NBA | New York Knicks | television | the sopranosApparently this will be the last season of the Sopranos. The first episode left everyone hanging wondering if Tony would still be alive in the second episode. I heard one of the most interesting theories while watching Cold Pizza on ESPN. The show kills off Tony in either the next episode or the following episode and brings in.... Al Pacino. Then I began to think how awesome that would be see the Godfather and Tony Montana as the bew boss of the Sopranos. Then it got me thinking about the perks of having different actors step in.
How not to make it on a College budget
Submitted by randomsun on March 15, 2006 - 10:37pm. bills | budget | clothing | college | dating | eating | entertainmentI will present to you some tried and true research that myself and my friends have done over the past few years. We are going to look at "How not to make it on a college budget" or "What not to do when you are a broke college student".
First, I'd like to say for everyone who thought that once they get the degree it will be cha ching, how wrong you are unless you specialize in medicine, law, engineering, etc. Also, a degree in Religion is not going to open the doors and having employers begging you to work for them. I can't even get a job for a church.
www.blogit.com
Submitted by randomsun on March 14, 2006 - 6:38am.Can anyone explain this site to me. What's the catch? It is pretty much if someone reads your blog you get paid. I guess I just don't get it or I'm not reading it thoroughly.
Yale's Admission of Former High Ranking Taliban Official
Submitted by randomsun on March 14, 2006 - 6:17am. college | student | Taliban | terror | war | YaleYesterday on Hannity and Colmes, a Fox News show, a debate raged over whether or not Yale should have admitted Sayed Rahmatullah Hashemi, former deputy foreign secretary of the Taliban. A quote from Hashemi from December 2005 used Israel as an example of a United States Al Qaeda.
Ann Coulter, a conservative author, was present and the debate raged between the liberals and conservatives on the show. The liberal argument was that through education would the perception of people and events of the world change. The conservatives argued that one of the few spots should not have been given to some one with a 4th grade level of education.

I really love this quote as it contains all the ingredients to the successful development of any community. I also believe that it is only through the development of positive communities will the world ever become a better place.
The Perfect Gift for Her
Submitted by randomsun on March 14, 2006 - 4:25am. gifts | love | relationshipsI don't know about the rest of you guys out there but I find it extremely challenging to get the perfect gift for the woman I love. I guess I've always had trouble finding something for the women in my life. As a child, I never knew what to get my Mom. I remember on one of her birthdays shortly after I started working and had some money I went all out and got her some cool stuff. You know what she liked the best? The free gift that came with one of the purchases.
Motley Crue- The Movie
Submitted by randomsun on March 14, 2006 - 3:26am. AEROSMITH | classics | Motley Crue | movies | music groupsSo I heard that there is going to be a Motley Crue Movie. It's not going to be a movie with the Crue. It's going to be a movie about the Crue with other people playing the parts of the Crue. I've heard that Ashton Kutcher is being looked at for Tommy Lee and Johnny Depp as one other member of the band, no idea who (can't really see him as Vince Neil.
This has to be one of the lamest ideas that I ever heard. Let's wait until the Crue is no more before rolling out a movie. Ray, cool. Walk the Line, Cool. The Buddy Holly Story, cool. La Bamba, Cool. Motley Crue, get outta here. The Crue still has many good years left to do random things, break up and get back together again, and date/marry tons of beautiful women.
Let Me See Your Grill
Submitted by randomsun on March 14, 2006 - 3:13am. diamonds | gold | Grillz | jewelry | mouth | NellySo we've all heard the song by Nelly or have seen some rappers with diamonds and gold in their mouths by now. So what exactly is the mythical grill?
I have a staff member who has a grill. She showed me the diamond encrusted mold and informed me that it cost a little over a hundred dollars for the finished product which was in the mail from her home in Texas. So I decided to further investigate.
No More Flavor
Submitted by randomsun on March 13, 2006 - 5:35am. entertainment | flavor flav | reality tv | VH1The last episode of the Flavor of Love aired this past evening with "your man, Flavor Flav!!!" choosing Hoopz over New York. Now for whatever reason this show kills me. Something truly unexpected or utterly ridiculous always happens from one lady spitting on another to the winner, Hoopz, receiving a 14k golden grill just like Flav's.
I have to say I laughed from the start of the series to the end. The series began with Flav giving 20 ladies nicknames that he would remember based on his first impression. The names ranged from Serious, Sweetie, Pumkin, Goldie, Daffy, Tweety, and Sleepy (I kid, nah joke, I only kid for the last three names if you're unfamiliar with the show).
Website Review-www.dogster.com
Submitted by randomsun on March 13, 2006 - 5:07am. current events | Funny | humor | website reviewIf the name of the blog does not explain it all then let me explain it. What do you get when you take a myxangbooquster like oh, hmmmm, how about Friendster and add dog's into the equation. Yes, that's right... Dogster. Think I'm kidding. I really wish I was. Now I've heard about people create myspace profilesfor their dogs or cats as jokes but this is a whole site devoted to such behavior. Personallu, I think it's bad enough that's there are oven baked with real lamb frozen meals for your dog. But do you really think that your dog is going to care about that hot other dog s/he saw at the park that day you were walking her/him. Come on world, let's start thinking. I guess we'll soon be seeing Dogbook or Dogspace in the near future. Actually, no, I guarantee we will because I am now going to teach myself how to develop sites so I can capitalize on this. (shakes head and sighs)
